Lodging at La Casona

In order to provide visitors with a comfortable experience surrounded by unspoiled nature, Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve offers lodging at "La Casona" (the Big House), a seven-room hostel with capacity for 47 guests. La Casona has everything needed for a comfortable stay, including bunks with bedclothes, closets, restrooms and baths, hot water and an area for food and beverage consumption.

In the morning you may enjoy an excellent breakfast at our restaurant in the La Casona building. That evening, you may also regain strength and recover from the day's excitement by enjoying a typical Costa Rican "criollo" (creole) dinner.

The restaurant hours are from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, except for our hostel guests. These have the option of dining at the TRAMONTI, an establishment that represents the best of typical Costa Rican and Italian cuisine. Also if you don´t have transportation the Reserve give you the facilities to arrive at the restaurant.
