INTERNATIONAL SHORT COURSE OF FIELD TROPICAL PLANT IDENTIFICATION

Because of its work on scientific projects in the tropics Since 1962, the Tropical Science Center (TSC) has earned wide recognition in Latin America as one of the most outstanding organizations in terms of research and environmental measures. Its net income is committed to the preservation and the operational expenses of its network of biological reserves, to research and environmental education programs, and to the improvement of tourist infrastructure in its protected areas.

TSC manages the Monteverde Biological Reserve, internationally recognized as a high-value protected area, scientifically as well as economically. It also manages other biological and forest reserves in Costa Rica such as San Luis, Las Nubes, Kelady, and La Sonora.

TSC offers optimal training conditions to the Latin American community, in the subject areas for which the organization and its associates have wide experience.

Beginning in 2007, TSC will offer an educational and training program at the Monteverde Biological Reserve and protected areas in the region.
